Museum of Light
An unconventional kind of museum where the light itself is the exhibited object varying from natural light to artificial light with the aid of sifting devices. The building appears to be peering out of a platform whilst creating a journey for the public from the corniche down to the Mediterranean Sea. The platform meets with the corniche at one point that invites people onto it. Once they complete their journey around the building, they reach a grand entrance with a skylight and staircase at the end of it. The ground floor consists of a restaurant, auditorium, exhibition spaces and a small recessed space in the corner. This recessed space provides the visitor with a feeling of complete immersion in the water as the water level is above eye level. The exhibition spaces are divided depending on how the light is entering.
