Lincoln School Student Work
I was the instructor of the Lincoln School, a school in Providence, and RISD's joint program providing Lincoln students with an architecture course. In addition, my role included writing the course syllabus including the topic and organization. Animals are architects by instinct, plants and minerals are the original structures of the world. Before the advancement of technology and the development of new materials, nature was the architect's only inspiration. The relationship between man and nature produced the primitive hut and continues to have generative potential today. In this course, we will observe, analyze, transform, and create using an architectural lens. We will be learning from natural forms and structures to design inhabitable spaces. What is your definition of habitable space?
